Amber Teething Necklaces or Just Amber Necklaces?

You may have noticed other retailers refer to amber necklaces as Amber Teething Necklaces, amber anklets as amber teething anklets and amber bracelets as amber teething bracelets and make many claims about how they help with teething and help with sleep etc etc. We make sure we comply with the ASA guidelines (advertising standards authority). Amber is not clinically proven and therefore no retailers in the EU are allowed to make any claims about amber and teething. They should refer to the necklaces as just amber necklaces and not amber teething necklaces. Any retailer not complying with the guidelines is breaking the law. The amber we sell is grade A Baltic amber and works exactly the same as other retailers. 

Amber products are made up of small parts and as a result can be put in a childs mouth or swallowed and therefore can present a potential choking hazard. This is the reason we say not suitable for under 36 months. Again all EU amber retailers should be explaining this information. 

The rules and regulations are pan European but they are enforced in the UK, other countries do not adhere so strictly. There are a number of amber retailers pretending to be UK businesses but are infact based abroad so therefore beyond the law. We are a UK based Amber retailer , our office is in Hampshire.
